Learn Forex LiveI have been a big fan of Hector Deville ever since I purchased his Hectortrader Forex Course back in 2008, so I was quite excited when he released this new Learn Forex Live course. Hector really over delivered with his previous course, so I buying another one of his products was really a no-brainer for me. I was not disappointed by what I found..

This new Learn Forex Live course builds on the original 3SMA strategy he teached in the Hectotrader course, but it is far from just an upgrade..the new course includes a number of new trading strategies, advanced indicators and money management techniques. Hector actually gives part of his old Hectortrader course away for free, but more on that below.

There are different types of traders in the Forex world..some like intraday trading, some like long term trading, some prefer news trading etc. In this course Hector really caters for most type of traders. The course contains detailed intraday, long term and news trading strategies, each consisting of comprehensive video training combined with live trading examples.

The module I enoyed the most was the part time trading module, which teaches a number price action strategies that can be used to trade the daily charts of any currency. This strategy covers all the popular price action strategies that the professionals use, including pin bars, inside/outside bars, support and resistance, trendlines etc. I truly believe that this module alone is all you need to become a full time trader, but if the daily charts are to slow for your taste then the intraday or news trading modules will be great for you. Apart from the trading strategies, the Learn Forex Live course also includes a very detailed money management module and two advanced indicators that can probably be very profitable on their own.

As you can see, I only have good things to say about this course, but if I have to mention one negative thing I would say that Hector sometimes tend to repeat things too many times. It does take quite a time commitment to work through the whole course and 15 hours+ of training videos, so repition is not always welcome. In Hector’s defense I have to say that you won’t end up with questions after going through the course though.

This is one course I definitely recommend to beginner and advanced traders alike. Similar courses sell for up to 10 times the price and at the current special this is really a no-brainer. Even if you don’t buy the full course, I really recommend that you check out the free trading strategies that he teaches.

More About the Learn Forex Live Course

The Learn Forex Live training program from Hector Deville is one of the most popular Forex learning guides available on the Internet and one of the reasons for this is the fact that the course covers a wide range of topics and provides the student with explanations and background information needed to understand the topics thoroughly. Unlike many programs available, it is generally assumed that anyone willing to purchase this program already understands the basic concept of Forex trading and the terminology, so only six out of a hundred of the videos deal with these basics. Instead the course is broken down into six unique modules with their own specific focuses, providing both a detailed explanation of how these aspects of Forex trading work as well as actionable information. The Learn Forex Live course, altogether, provides an excellent gateway into the exciting world of currency trading for fun and profit.

Modules 1, 2, and 3 emphasize specific trading strategies. Module 1 deal with the London Open Breakout Strategy which uses early morning trades to make money on the USD/GBP currency pair. Module 2 deals with the Market Flow Strategy, which uses small, quick trades throughout the day using any currency pair and though the actual profits from each trade are small, this is made up for by the use of many trades. The third module shows strategies for people only interested in part-time trading like those with regular day jobs or full time students. There is a lot of additional information that is available to compliment the information in the modules which is accessible via the member’s area of the Learn Forex Live website and students can also network with each other to discuss their own experiments and test strategies using the fundamental knowledge they gained from the general course.

The fourth module leaves basic strategies and discusses money management techniques, which are essential to turning over an actual profit regardless of the specific Forex strategy employed. This money management module is in fact one of the program’s most effective selling points because many other training courses ignore this topic altogether. Module 5 explains the concept of “news trading” or how to trade around news announcements as they are made in real time. This module provides a lot of interesting ideas on how to profit from breaking news as it happens. Finally, Module 6 is billed as a bonus and deals with more advanced indicators and actually explains how they work, turning the student into a more savvy – and knowledgeable – trader.

A Learn Forex Live Overview

The rise of the Internet – along with some of the amazing stories of fortunes made and lost on the Forex markets – has resulted in the development of a major subsidiary industry teaching new people how to trade in foreign currencies. However, as anyone familiar with Forex knows, the market is extremely complex and it takes a lot of serious study and experience to become fluent in its many various nuances. As a consequence, there are dozens of different teaching programs available purporting to teach newcomers how Forex works and how to make money through Forex trading. One of the most popular of these online courses has been Hector DeVille’s “Learn Forex Live”.

Unlike many of the training programs available online, the Learn Forex Live program assumes that the student already has at least a rudimentary understanding of Forex and understands the terminology and as consequence very little of the program is devoted to the basics (less than 10 percent, or six videos out of a hundred). Further, the Learn Forex Live program does not simply detail how to run various strategies, but also provides some background and explanations of the how the markets and the indicators work, giving the student the tools he needs to develop his own strategies as he progresses. Finally, the Learn Forex Live program also provides some subsidiary information that is usually excluded from other programs, such as information about proper Forex money management techniques. In fact, the Learn Forex Live programs places a lot of emphasis on money management, which is essential for making a real profit but is often completely ignored by other courses.

Despite the value of the material presented, there is some room for improvement as well. For example, Hector DeVille uses a repetitive teaching method to highlight important points, which get on some people’s nerves. Some people also find fault with the basic format, which is mostly video (hence the name, Learn Forex Live), which means it is only really accessible with electronics and there is no easy to read PDF book that covers all of the relevant information in a non-electronic format. Most complaints about the program relate to one or the other of the aforementioned weaknesses and virtually none complain about the actual value of the content or the lessons offered. Assuming these two objections are at least tolerable, the Learn Forex Live program offers one of the best Forex training courses to be found online and provides a lot of useful information for newcomers to Forex.
